Alfie Robinson

BA MA AssocIHBC

Alfie Robinson is an independent scholar and heritage consultant based in Cornwall. His publications can be found on Academia.edu and ResearchGate. He took a first class BA degree at the University of Cambridge followed by an MA (distinction) at the University of York where his thesis focussed on medieval English architecture.

As a heritage consultant, Alfie turns his research skills to present-day building projects, where he advises on the history of existing structures, their significance, and what to do next. He’s adept at producing Heritage Impact Assessments and other elements which support applications for Listed Building Consent and planning permission. Alfie is an Associate member of the Institute of Historic Buildings Conservation (IHBC). He’s happy to assist on any enquiries, such as advice, Listed Building Consents, Heritage Impact Assessments, and more.

Other projects he has turned his expertise to include a history of a central London address, cataloguing the Cornwall studio of a late Royal Academician, and steering a panel discussion on building regulations. As part of his interest in urban policy, he’s a member of the Create Streets network. And, since words can’t always communicate effectively, he’s also an avid draughtsman.

Although Alfie is based in Cornwall, he continues to work across the UK including projects in East Anglia, the North of England, and London.
